How to Use Our Compost
🌿 Gardens & Raised Beds
Mix 2–4 inches of compost into the top 6–8 inches of soil before planting
For existing beds, add 1–2 inches each season and lightly work in
🌱 New Plantings (Trees, Shrubs, Flowers)
Mix compost 25–30% with native soil when backfilling
Do not plant directly into 100% compost
🌾 Lawns
Apply a ¼–½ inch layer over existing grass (topdressing)
Water lightly after application
🪴 Potting & Planters
Blend 1 part compost with 2–3 parts soil or potting mix
🌼 Mulching
Apply 1–2 inches on top of soil around plants to retain moisture and suppress weeds
